Charlotte Whitney Gallery


Charlotte Whitney Stevens has shown art in about 80 shows throughout the United States, half of which have been one or two person shows. Her art work has to do with both nature and architecture as they relate to people. Favorite mediums have been acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, and colored pencil. Recent acrylic paintings of Michigan are in three different groups to do with the farm, industry, and education. A favorite topic has also been a study of Michigan Art Deco Architecture resulting in 20 acrylic paintings, and Miami Art Deco architecture resulting in 27 acrylic paintings. A project recently finished is a group of paintings of the early history of the small town of Olivet, Michigan where the artist has now resided for over 50 years.
